About
Cassandra Vega is an independent filmmaker from Youngstown, Ohio, whose storytelling journey began at just three years old. Her early interest in creativity flourished through photography and video and ultimately led her to the prestigious NYU Tisch School of the Arts. There, she specialized in Directing, Production Sound Mixing, and Video Editing, graduating in 2022 with a BFA in Film & Television Production and a minor in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies. Since graduation, Cassandra has expanded her skills across several industry sectors, working on everything from feature films and indie shorts to digital ads and social media content. Her debut short film was recently accepted and screened at film festivals across the country, a milestone that further fuels her commitment to impactful storytelling. With over six years of professional experience, including roles as a post-production assistant at ITV America, she now freelances as a Production Sound Mixer, Video Editor, and Sound Designer, while developing her debut feature film, Tuneup. Through her company, SteelCity Entertainment, Cassandra provides full-service audio and post-production, dedicated to bringing stories to life. Her mission is to craft immersive, thought-provoking experiences that inspire viewers and spark meaningful conversations on themes of identity, mental health, and complex family dynamics.
