ABOUT ME
Hello and welcome!
My name is Cassandra Vega and I'm a creative professional with a passion for the arts.
I was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. My artistic journey began at a young age, when I started drawing and painting at just three years old. By eight, I had discovered a love for writing and by ten, I was performing in local theater productions.
Throughout high school, I continued to explore my creativity through Speech and Debate, National Thespian Society, and many other clubs, as I developed a passion for photography and digital arts.
Photography (2014-2017)
After graduating, I made the move to New York City to attend New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts.
In May 2022, I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production, with a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies.
During my time at NYU, I participated in the Broke People's Play Festival, directing "Do Birds Ever?" by Erin Dugan, and worked as a Technician Assistant in the undergraduate Production Center. I wrote, produced, and directed several of my own short films, while also collaborating on other student projects. I held various crew positions in 8+ short films, such as producer, director, script supervisor, production sound mixer, production assistant, special FX makeup artist, art assistant, video editor, and sound designer.
Crewing & BTS (2018-2023)
In late 2020, I began working as a post-production intern at Ragnarok NYC and also offering freelance services. In January 2021, I was promoted to post-production assistant at Ragnarok and continued my work there until July 2022. As of recently, I have had the privilege to work with ITV America, one of the largest independent producers of non-scripted content in the US, where I support the creation of various television shows.
I am actively seeking new opportunities in post-production and to continue to develop my skills as a creative professional. Whether in staff positions or as a freelancer, I am excited to explore new projects and collaborate with other creatives. Thank you for taking the time to visit my site, and please feel free to reach out to me with any inquiries or opportunities to help you grow your vision!
